6.RP.1 & 2 OR 6.RP.3d - Rates, Unit Rates and Proportions Quiz
6.RP.1 - Understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities. For example, “The ratio of wings to beaks in the bird house at the zoo was 2:1, because for every 2 wings there was 1 beak.” “For every vote candidate A received, candidate C received nearly three votes.”
6.RP.2 - Understand the concept of a unit rate a/b associated with a ratio a:b with b ≠ 0, and use rate language in the context of a ratio relationship. For example, “This recipe has a ratio of 3 cups of flour to 4 cups of sugar, so there is 3/4 cup of flour for each cup of sugar.” “We paid $75 for 15 hamburgers, which is a rate of $5 per hamburger.”
6.RP.3b - Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed. For example, if it took 7 hours to mow 4 lawns, then at that rate, how many lawns could be mowed in 35 hours? At what rate were lawns being mowed?

1.How does this assignment relate to to the standard?
The assignment relates to the standard because one standard, 6.RP.1, says that " understand the concept of a ratio and use ratio language to describe a ratio relationship between two quantities". This standard relates to our test because there were word problems like, "for every 6 cups of flour in a bread recipe, there are 2 cups of milk". Another standard is 6.RB.3b. It says to " Solve unit rate problems including those involving unit pricing and constant speed". This test relates to the standard because it gave us problems involving unit speed and constant speed.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this test?
First I received the test, I look over the questions. Since, I studied it the night before, I wasn't worried and it was not bad. So I started doing the test. I looked over the questions carefully. Then, I finish everything expect one question. The 1st question was a little tricky,so I read over and over again. I felt like I got it, but I wasn't too sure. I double checked and turned in the test. After all, I only got one wrong, but still got a high score, 4.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths...
This assignment demonstrates that I understand Rates, Unit Rates, and Proportions, because I got a good grade. Also, it demonstrates that I did well on the test system of being quiet and double checking, because if I talked, I will get a zero. These assignment represent these fallowing strengths.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by...
= I could have improved on this assignment by getting a better grade. Even though I got a 4, I should have gotten the first question correct Also, I could have improved if I studied more harder because if I studied harder, I probably have gotten a 100%. These are the things I need to improve on.
5.How will you apply the skills you learned from this test in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
= This test will raise up my grade. If my grade is high, I can go to better schools and success in life. Also these quizzes will help me because I know that I am going to have these quizzes at my future. This lesson will help me when I am doing algebra or geometry. This test is very beneficial because it makes us sure that we understand this or not. If we don't understand this we will have a hard time in our future math class.
