6.EE.2 - a) Write expressions that record operations with numbers and with letters standing for numbers.
b) Identify parts of an expression using mathematical terms (sum, term, product, factor, quotient, coefficient); view one or more parts of an expression as a single entity.
c) Evaluate expressions at specific values of their variables. Include expressions that arise from formulas used in real-world problems. Perform arithmetic operations, including those involving whole-number exponents, in the conventional order when there are no parentheses to specify a particular order.
1. Rewrite the standard in your own words. How does this assignment relate to the standard?
I had to write expressions that involved multiplication signs, addition signs, subtraction signs, and division signs with numbers and variables. I also had to identify parts of expressions using arithmitical terms , and evaluate expressions from the information I'm given. This assignment relates to the standard because I I took a quiz that involved writing expressions, identifying parts of an expression, and evaluating expressions.
2. What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment was I studied really hard to do well on this quiz, and I also went over my notes several times.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths…
This assignment allows me to show my strengths of the understanding of the material
and also my good math skills of all the three standards.
4. I could have improved my work on this assignment by …
Even if I got 4s in all of the standards, I could have improved on making my work more neater and showing more effort. I could've also taken my time instead of speeding.
5.How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply the skills I learned for when I become an adult if I ever want to become a math teacher like Ms.Ha. I can also use these skills for everyday life.
