recognizing advocacy in the present
ADVOCATE: MY MOM
For me, my mom is an advocate . My mom does a lot of things for me. My mom always takes care of me in the hardest times. My mom might not be Rosa Parks, but she is very important. My mom always gives me the best things and she keeps what is left. I might be the smallest child, but my mom keeps everything fair between me and my brother. She loves us both, but since I need a little more attention, she is mostly with me . After all, my brother is a teenager and he always is in his room doing his own things.
My mom would sacrifice anything for me, which she does . Once, my mom went to my elementary school because I told her that a group of girls were taking advantage of me and treating me unfairly. My mom talked to one of the staff members. After that, the T.A. had a talk with the mean group of girls. Because of my mom, I have learned so much. When I grow up, I will stand up for my kids just like my mom does. I was glad my mom told the T.A. and she did something about it. I learned so much from my mom . When I grow up, I will care for my kids just like my mom did. I will be like my one-of-a-kind mom who cares and does soooo much about a problem.
