We had to make a brochure about Mali describing the imports, exports, why Mali is interesting and fun, how to get there, and the fun and important sites found in Mali. It relates to the standard because we had to find the geographic, political, economic, of Ghana and mali.
2.What are the steps you took to complete and do well on this assignment?
The steps I took to complete and do well on this assignment is I labeled the categories. Some examples are imports, exports, and geographic features of Mali. I tried to gather as much information that I can for each category. To find information for all the categories, I did research on Mali in Google and I wrote it in my own words. I also managed information from my history notebook.
3. This assignment demonstrates the following strengths…
This assignment allows me to show my strengths in explaining and gathering my own information about the Imports, exports, and geography of Mali. It also obviously shows my knowledge about Mali, the fact that I can summarize information from the era search I did and also my creative abilities. Creating drawings and summarizing the main points are what I think I did good on.
4. I could have improved on this assignment by...
I could have improved on this project by maybe typing out the information rather than writing it. Another way I could improve on this is by printing out pictures instead of drawing and coloring them. I also. Could have made the flaps of the brochure more organized. I could improve on a lot of things even though I got a four.
5.How will you apply the skills you learned from this assignment in either the real world when you are an adult or in other classes while you are still a student?
I will apply the skills I learned for when I am an adult if I want to become a history teacher like Ms.Park. I could also simply just have knowledge about Mali so that I can inform others about their civilization and how much it differs from modern day. In the future, knowing this will help me a lot. Like I will be able to tell my kids about history. Also if I want to work in a museum to guide people to understand ancient Mali.
